This Privacy Policy explains what information Habit Tracker collects, how it is used, and when it is shared. It applies to the Habit Tracker website and related account features, including Google sign-in.

Information you provide

Habit Tracker stores information you enter directly, including your name, email address, username, password, PIN, weight entries, workout logs, nutrition records, meal notes, meal images, account names, balances, bills, and similar app content.

Information from Google sign-in

If you sign in with Google, Habit Tracker may receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture, depending on the scopes and data you approve. That information is used only to authenticate you, create or connect your account, and secure access to the service.

How information is used

Habit Tracker uses your information to operate the app, authenticate users, maintain your account, provide requested features, protect the service, and improve reliability. Information is not sold to advertisers.

Third-party processing

Habit Tracker uses Google to support sign-in and identity verification. When you use the nutrition analysis feature, meal images and related notes may be sent to OpenAI for analysis. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Cookies and session storage

Habit Tracker uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. That cookie is used for authentication and account security and is not used for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Data is retained for as long as your account remains active or as needed to operate and secure the service. You may request account deletion, and associated data will be removed within a reasonable period unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

Security

Habit Tracker uses technical safeguards designed to protect stored data, including encrypted storage for sensitive profile fields, hashed credentials, and server-side session handling. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Habit Tracker is not intended for children under 13, and the service should not be used by anyone who is not legally permitted to provide personal information under applicable law.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Habit Tracker after an update means you accept the revised policy.
